Ernest Cole, the South African photographer, was the first to unveiled the horror of apartheid to the world audience. His booking Bondage, which was published in 1967 when he was only 27 years old, led him to exile in New York and Europe for the rest of his life to never find his insoles. Raoul Peck describes his wishes, his unrest as an artist and anger every day, silence or participation of the western world of face to face the apartheid regime. It also means how 60,000 negatives of his work were discovered in the security of the Swedish bank in 2017.
